The fourth and final type of TV wall mount that we will be discussing is known as the Articulating or Cantilever TV wall mounts. This type of TV wall mount is considered to be a top of the line wall mount and would be a great addition to any home.
Articulating TV wall mounts are designed for flat panel plasma or LCD TVs and provide the most viewing flexibility. This type of TV mount is completely different from the lower tier Tilt TV mounts and Fixed TV mounts. The design of an articulating TV wall mount is similar to that of the a swivel wall mount. Like a swivel mount it can move to the left and right and also can be adjusted for angle. The difference is that this type of flat panel wall mount can also be moved up and down or angled to the left or right.
Again, like the swivel TV mount, this mount comes with the drawback of not being very close to the wall. There is a considerable TV to wall gap that is largest with this type of mount as compared to all other types.
Articulating TV mounts are generally the most expensive on the market but you can still find an affordable one if you do your due diligence and be sure to get one that is fairly priced but also of high quality.
Flat panel wall mounts can help save space in your room and give it an ultra modern look. I highly recommend that you at least investigate the prospects of getting one in your home.

Swivel Or Pull-Out TV Wall Mounts
If you are trying to decide on a TV wall mount and need one that has a significantly amount of viewing flexibility then you might want to consider Swivel TV wall mount. This type of wall mount is often a great choice.
Swivel TV wall mounts are considered to be a step below the Articulating TV wall mounts that we will be writing about next. Swivel mount design is similar to that of an Articulating wall mount and completely different from Fixed wall mounts and Tilt wall mounts.
The big difference between Swivel TV mounts and the other one we have already written about is that they can swivel back and forth, something fixed and tilt mounts can't do. TVs when attached to this type of mount are hooked to an arm like device that allows them to be shifted to the left and to the right. This is really nice when you have your TV situated in a room where you might watch TV from the far left or right at certain times. Swivel mounts also come with the ability to adjust for angle just like the Tilt TV wall mounts.
One drawback of swivel mounts is that once installed your TV actually ends up pretty far away from the wall. If you are looking for your TV to be up against the wall without extra space then I don't recommend this flat panel wall mount. One issue with your TV being so far from the wall is deciding how you are going to hide those ugly cables that attach to your LCD or plasma TV.
Swivel TV wall mounts are still relatively cheap if you shop for the right one. You can find one that is of high quality and that also sells for a good price. You do have to be selective though. You don't want to get a really cheap one that might break and ruin your TV but you also don't wanna get ripped on and accidentally buy one that is overpriced.
If you want to get a TV wall mount then go for it. They can help save space in your room and give it an ultra modern look.

Tilt or Adjustable Angle TV Wall Mounts
If you are in search of a TV wall mount and want something that is relatively cheap and simple but not a bottom of the barrel product then a Tilt TV wall mount is probably what you are looking for.
Tilt TV wall mounts are considered to be a slight step above the fixed TV wall mounts that we wrote about in our last post and a step or two below articulating mounts and swivel TV mounts. Tilt wall mounts are actually exactly the same as fixed wall mounts except for two differences.
The first difference is that with a tilt TV wall mount you can do just as its name suggests, which is to adjust the tilt or angle of your TV. This can be done in just a couple seconds by simply grabbing your TV and manually adjusting it. The nice thing about tilt TV mounts is that you can adjust this angle based off of where you are sitting each time you watching TV. If you are on the floor at one point you can angle it downward a lot more but then adjust it back if you decide to sit on the couch the next time.
The second major difference between this flat panel TV wall mount is that when mounting your TV with this mount there will be a noticeable gap between your TV and the wall. This is because in order to change the tilt around there just be a gap of space. The gap with a tilt wall mount is still rather small though and much small than what you get with a swivel mount or articulating mount. The added flexibility allows this mount to be good for people who sit at different height levels when watching TV but it, like the fixed mounts, would not be good for someone who needs to watch from far to the left or right side.
Another advantage of tilt TV wall mounts is that they are still relatively cheap. This mount style is the second cheapest to the fixed mounts and you can find one at a reasonable price. This is especially important since you probably just broke the bank in order to buy your new LCD or plasma screen TV.
If you are interested in getting a TV wall mount I think it would be an excellent choice. TV wall mounts are a great innovation that add a modern and sleek look to your home. Just be sure that if you do get one that you get the style that is right for you.

Fixed Or Flat Display TV Wall Mounts
If you are looking for the simplest, cheapest, and most basic type of TV wall mount on the market then a fixed TV wall mount (also referred to a flat display wall mount) is probably right for you.
Fixed TV wall mounts are the simplest type of mounts because they come with the least amount of features. These types of TV wall mounts are extremely basic and do not allow you to move your TV once it is attached to the wall mount. In order to change the placement of your TV with this type of mount you have to actually move the whole wall mount to a different spot on the wall. This type of TV wall mount is not good for someone who often watches TV from all sorts of different angles and spots because it cannot be adjusted.
Despite being very simple, fixed wall mounts actually have their advantages too. Fixed mounts are great because their setup allows your TV to be super close to the wall as opposed to far away when using more advanced articulating TV wall mounts or swivel TV wall mounts. If you are someone who doesn't like the look of all of that extra space in between your TV and the wall then a fixed or tilt mount would be perfect for you. With fixed mounts keeping your television so close to the wall it also allows you to easily hide those ugly TV cables that nobody wants to see. Finally, a fixed wall mounts are great because they are the cheapest style available. Often after we have just dropped a fortune on a new plasma or LCD television we end up needing to be quite budget aware when trying to purchase accessories to go along with it.
As always, if you are interested in getting a TV wall mount I highly recommend it. I think that TVs look excellent when mount to the wall, no matter which style is chosen. Although style is very important in order to be sure that you get a wall mount that can indeed meet your viewing needs.

What Is A Flat Panel TV Wall Mounts?
A flat panel TV wall mount is a relatively new product that is exactly as it sounds. It is a device that you can use to mount your television to the wall as opposed to placing it on a traditional TV stand of some sort.
With flat panel televisions coming out several years ago wall mounts have begun to become increasingly popular. The idea of being able to save space and get the modern look of having your TV attach to a wall, sort of like a picture, is something that most people have jumped at having.
TV wall mounts come in many different shapes and sizes and also come with many different functions. You can get TV wall mounts for small 25" flat panel televisions and you can get TV wall mounts for very large 60" flat panel TVs. You can also find wall mounts that are universal to some extent with a large range of which sizes the are compatible with.
TV mounts also come with many different features and functions. These differences have led to their being four main types of TV wall mounts with each one having different features. These types of mounts are known as Fixed TV wall mounts, Tilt TV wall mounts, Swivel TV wall mounts, and Articulating TV wall mounts. Some wall mounts are very limited and only allow for you to have your TV in a fixed position while others allow for great flexibility. The higher end plasma and LCD wall mounts often allow people to change the tilt, direction, and angle that their TV is facing in just a couple of seconds.
If you are interested in getting a TV wall mounts I highly recommend it. Wall mounts are a great space saving innovation and in most cases they also look excellent. The only recommendation I have is that you be sure to get one that has the features that fit with your viewing needs.
