If you are in search of a TV wall mount and want something that is relatively cheap and simple but not a bottom of the barrel product then a Tilt TV wall mount is probably what you are looking for.
Tilt TV wall mounts are considered to be a slight step above the fixed TV wall mounts that we wrote about in our last post and a step or two below articulating mounts and swivel TV mounts. Tilt wall mounts are actually exactly the same as fixed wall mounts except for two differences.
The first difference is that with a tilt TV wall mount you can do just as its name suggests, which is to adjust the tilt or angle of your TV. This can be done in just a couple seconds by simply grabbing your TV and manually adjusting it. The nice thing about tilt TV mounts is that you can adjust this angle based off of where you are sitting each time you watching TV. If you are on the floor at one point you can angle it downward a lot more but then adjust it back if you decide to sit on the couch the next time.
The second major difference between this flat panel TV wall mount is that when mounting your TV with this mount there will be a noticeable gap between your TV and the wall. This is because in order to change the tilt around there just be a gap of space. The gap with a tilt wall mount is still rather small though and much small than what you get with a swivel mount or articulating mount. The added flexibility allows this mount to be good for people who sit at different height levels when watching TV but it, like the fixed mounts, would not be good for someone who needs to watch from far to the left or right side.
Another advantage of tilt TV wall mounts is that they are still relatively cheap. This mount style is the second cheapest to the fixed mounts and you can find one at a reasonable price. This is especially important since you probably just broke the bank in order to buy your new LCD or plasma screen TV.
If you are interested in getting a TV wall mount I think it would be an excellent choice. TV wall mounts are a great innovation that add a modern and sleek look to your home. Just be sure that if you do get one that you get the style that is right for you.

Fixed Or Flat Display TV Wall Mounts
If you are looking for the simplest, cheapest, and most basic type of TV wall mount on the market then a fixed TV wall mount (also referred to a flat display wall mount) is probably right for you.
Fixed TV wall mounts are the simplest type of mounts because they come with the least amount of features. These types of TV wall mounts are extremely basic and do not allow you to move your TV once it is attached to the wall mount. In order to change the placement of your TV with this type of mount you have to actually move the whole wall mount to a different spot on the wall. This type of TV wall mount is not good for someone who often watches TV from all sorts of different angles and spots because it cannot be adjusted.
Despite being very simple, fixed wall mounts actually have their advantages too. Fixed mounts are great because their setup allows your TV to be super close to the wall as opposed to far away when using more advanced articulating TV wall mounts or swivel TV wall mounts. If you are someone who doesn't like the look of all of that extra space in between your TV and the wall then a fixed or tilt mount would be perfect for you. With fixed mounts keeping your television so close to the wall it also allows you to easily hide those ugly TV cables that nobody wants to see. Finally, a fixed wall mounts are great because they are the cheapest style available. Often after we have just dropped a fortune on a new plasma or LCD television we end up needing to be quite budget aware when trying to purchase accessories to go along with it.
As always, if you are interested in getting a TV wall mount I highly recommend it. I think that TVs look excellent when mount to the wall, no matter which style is chosen. Although style is very important in order to be sure that you get a wall mount that can indeed meet your viewing needs.
